We hope you had a great night on the 22nd at Sugar and Spice Gives Back, we were so pleased to be able top raise over $1000 for womens refuge to go towards playground equipment for their safe house. But don't forget there are so many ways you can give back every day, here are a few ideas:

1. Smile at a stranger
2. Hug someone
3. Let a car merge in front of you in traffic
4. Wave hello to your neighbours
5. Send a handmade card or a letter to someone who has made a difference to your life
6. Start a conversation up with a co-worker that you don't know
7. Spend time visiting with someone who doesn't get visitors
8. Invite someone who is alone over for dinner
9. Write a note to the boss of someone who has helped you, praising the employee
10. Copy a favourite recipe and give it to someone
11. Offer to baby sit
12. Donate clothes to goodwill
13. Put change in a charity change bottle
14. Shout morning tea at your workplace
15. Send someone a small gift anonymously

Other Ways You Can Give Back

We have a couple of other opportunities for you to Give Back and make our evening a fundraising success. On the night there will be a silent auction of donated goods and services (just in time for Christmas) as well as a baking stand filled with edible goodies.

But first we need the goodies!

We are looking for people like yourself to donate a sample of your famous cake/biscuits/fudge/scones/muffins to be sold on the night. The more delicious the better!

So if you’d like to Give Back in an edible kind of way, flick us an email to let us know what you have in mind and she’ll save you a spot.

We GBC women are so blessed.

Blessed with a fabulous caring church.

Blessed with each other to have fun and fellowship with.

Blessed with a personal relationship with our loving God.

Now it’s time to ‘give back’.

Our local Women’s Refuge would love to have a playground
for the children who shelter in their home.

Let’s join together and meet this need.

Let's give to these women and their children.

Let’s be a blessing to them and show God’s love
in a practical way.

To fundraise, tickets for Sugar & Spice Gives Back are
by donation (minimum $8).

There will also be other fun opportunities to contribute
to the fundraising on the night.

Tickets are by donation with a minimum price of $8,
these can be purchased from the info table on Sundays
(starting November 2nd), no door sales on the night.

Ticket sales close Sunday 16 November for catering purposes.
